Since leaving office, the Obamas have remained quite busy with their new life of activism which includes their issue-oriented production company, Higher Ground, which won an Oscar for Best Documentary in 2020. Mrs. Obama's autobiography, “Becoming,” has become the best-selling memoir of all time and even won a Grammy following the publication of her book.

A new feature-length biography, Michelle Obama: Life After the White House, rehashes their story, but POH reader Lisa Jenkins says she liked the 55-minute presentation. “It was refreshing even though I had seen much of the content at photographer Pete Souza’s event,” she says.

At the event, Jenkins recall the same or similar images and his talking about many of the same topics covered in the film.  While she read the book “Becoming” and I had not, we both were glad to see their civility.  “However, I have to add there were some facts I was not aware of that was included in the film,” she says. I never made it the end.
