$275, Our First Donation Educates Three Young Women

Ric Irick, who sponsored Fatoumata J. Bah, one of our 2023 high school graduates, was the first to donate to this year’s fundraising goal of $3,600. His $275 donation will keep three more female students in school this year.

We are thrilled to share that, thanks to your generous support, we have reached $1,755 (49 percent) of our $3,600 goal for the year. This progress, made possible by the contributions of Shari Curtis ($75), Judy Huebener Crim ($205), and Michael Ricks ($1,200), who joined Ric Irick ($275), is a testament to the power of collective action.

In addition to Bah, our 2024 graduates were Ida Jeng and Isatou Jallow. Norma Bullock was Jallow’s graduating year and 11th-grade sponsor, while Unity Baptist of Jacksonville was Jeng’s graduation year sponsor.
