I find it appalling to still - years later to see small segments of the Black male community referring to President Biden as a racist and solely responsible for the crime bill.

Now, we hear that the Vice President put many Black men in jail.

For the record, I know of no racist who assisted a Black man to become a president, elevated a Black woman to the Supreme Court, and then paved the way for a Black woman to be President.

That is one fine racist. White-skinned, Black revolutionist John Brown would be elated with this record.
And if they are that concerned about equal representation and justice, why would they directly or indirectly support a White,  privileged felon being free while a Black felon is in jail?
Secondly, most Black people also supported the Crime Bill. No matter how many times I suggest these talkers do some research and reading, they cannot seem to find links such as this one:

Black Americans Supported the 1994 Crime Bill, Too

However, as one Facebook follower pointed out, "Mass incarceration surged immediately after Civil Rights, under Nixon in the late 60s. Biden was not yet even in politics back then when Nixon kicked off his 'Law & Order' (ironic for such a horrible criminal) and 'War on Drugs,'”  writes Jones Murphy.

For example, at the height of America's war on drugs, from the 1980s through the mid-2000s, more than 20 prisons opened in California, compared with just 12 between 1852 and 1984, reports the Huffington Post.

Finally, why not ask if the VP was not doing her JOB as a prosecutor?

The last time I was on a jury in still, but barely majority Black DC, all the court legal professionals were White. We were even in a building named for a Black judge. The defendant (later found guilty) was a Black male.

As one of four black juries and one of two Black males on the 13-member jury, I was in a meltdown as the trial dragged on. I was overjoyed when it ended and learned that I was an alternate and did not have to deliberate the case with a jury with an overrepresentation of Whites and Asians.

Blacks demanded to be part of the judicial system, and now we are.

And if she was doing her job, why would they think any jury would not find a Black man guilty? And if they are that concerned about equal representation and justice, why would they directly or indirectly support a White,  privileged felon being free while a Black felon is in jail?

However, a bit of research will show how the VP saw her professional focus: "As a young prosecutor, when I was in the Alameda County District Attorney's office in California, I specialized in cases involving sexual abuse. Donald Trump was found liable by a jury for committing sexual abuse.

As Attorney General of California, I took on one of our country's largest for-profit colleges and put it out of business. Donald Trump ran a for-profit college, Trump University, that was forced to pay $25 million to the students it scammed.

Sexual abuse in Black America is a severe problem.

A 2007 Bureau of Justice Statistics reports that Black women are four times more likely than White women to meet death as a result of domestic violence. Although Black women constitute only 13% of the U.S. population, they comprise half of the homicides against women in America.

So, we all need to take responsibility for people's failure to research, read, and share responsible information. When I read such misinformed information consistently from the same circles, their words remind me that not all food shoppers read the labels; some buy the stuff in the can that seems to attract them — and salesmen like donald trump know this very, very well.

That is just one Black man's opinion; what is yours?
