Port Of Harlem Subscribers Help Break New Records

Jan 17 – Feb 09, 2022

port of harlem magazine, subscriptions are still free

Subscriptions to Port Of Harlem magazine are at their highest levels ever. Port Of Harlem Talk Radio got its first supporter. Our Facebook likes exceed 5,800, the most ever.

Subscriptions are delivered free by email, but not always opened by subscribers. The debut of our new email format with the Oct 07 – Oct 20, 2021 issue brought us a spectacular 42.5 percent open rate. The last issue, Jan 13– Jan 26, 2022, beat that with an open rate of 45 percent.

The open rate measures the number of emails opened compared to the number of emails sent. The industry-wide average is 25 percent.

We release Port Of Harlem every other Thursday. One in three subscribers normally open Port Of Harlem by Saturday, two days after the release. On Sunday, our system resends the free issue to those who had not opened the magazine, most recently resulting in the groundbreaking 45 open rate.

We also received our first Port Of Harlem Talk Radio supporter, Edward S. The podcasts are available for listening for free at any time on your laptop and other electronic devices, including via our website.  You can also find Port Of Harlem Talk Radio on the following platforms: Apple Podcasts, Breaker, Castbox, Google Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts, Spotify, and RadioPublic.

We offer three monthly Port Of Harlem Talk Radio supporter funding levels:  $.99, $4.99, or $9.99 per month. You get to choose which of the three you prefer - - or you can listen for free.

Half (50 percent) of all Port Of Harlem Talk Radio donations go to the Port Of Harlem Gambian Education Partnership (POHGEP) and half to Port Of Harlem magazine. POHGEP provides technical and financial assistance to educational and economic development institutions in The Gambia.

Banjul, The Gambia, provides the second highest most LIKES for our Facebook page. Most of LIKES come from Washington, DC with recent LIKES pouring in from Metro Nairobi, Kenya.
Note: All of our advertisers are not based where you live or do business, but may be able to serve your needs by phone and/or over the internet. It is our advertisers that keep Port Of Harlem free to you.
