Arkansas
US House: Joyce Elliott (D) vs. French Hill (R)

District of Columbia
DC Council At-Large: Marcus Goodwin (I) vs. 25 other people including incumbent Robert White (D)
Goodwin was a leader in a movement to remove the historic Emancipation Statue in Lincoln Park

Georgia
US Senate: Warnock vs. Kelly Loeffler (R) and otherss
If no candidate receives a majority of the vote on November 3, a runoff between the top two vote-getters, regardless of party, will take place January 5, 2021.

US House: Lucy McBath (D) vs. Karen Handel (R) Rematch
And She Could Be Next features McBath. Rep. McBath's son, Jordan Davis, was murdered in November 2012. She became an advocate for gun control and defeated Karen Handel for a House of Representatives seat in 2018. She flipped the seat by less than 4,000 votes in a district that is 60 percent White. McBath is one 55 House Democrats targeted by Republicans. Five are of African descent.

Utah
Ben McAdams (D) vs. Burgess Owens (R)
U.S. House: Owens, who is Black and a former football player for the New York Jets and Oakland Raiders, sees Donald Trump, as “an advocate for Black Americans, Black kids getting educated, having a choice." He added, "I love the fact he’s all about having Black Americans having jobs,” saying Trump has “done more to help my community come out of the darkness than any president in my lifetime.”

Indiana
Governor: Dr. Woody Myers (D) vs. Eric Holcomb (R)

Maryland
Kweisi Mfume (D) vs. Kim Klacik (R)
Set to be one of the biggest blowouts ever despite her appearance at the Republican Convention.

Michigan
US Senate: Gary Peters (D) vs. John James (R)
James, A Black Republican Feels the Sting of Racism but Is Silent on Trump

Mississippi
US Senate: Mike Espy (D) vs. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R)
In this rematch, Espy seeks to become the first Black to represent Mississippi in the Senate since Reconstruction. Mississippi, is the blackest state in the Union.

Fabian Nelson (Nonpartisan) vs many others
Nelson, who is African-American, would become the first Mississippi LGBQT+ legislature. Mississippi is one of just four states in the country that have never elected an openly LGBTQ state legislator. The other three are Alaska, Louisiana, and Tennessee.

Missouri
Secretary of State: Yinka Faleti (D) vs. Jay Ashcroft (R)
Faleti, a United States Military Academy at West Point graduate, immigrated from Nigeria.

New York
Jackie Gordon (D) vs. Andrew Garbarino (R)

Mondaire Jones vs. Maureen McArdle Schulman (R)
Set to become one of two first openly Black national legislators in this very Democratic district.

Ritchie Torres vs. Patrick Delices (R)
Set to become one of two first openly Black national legislators in this very Democratic district.

Antonio Delgado (D) vs. Kyle Van De Water (R)
As the first African-Puerto Rican elected to Congress, Delgado is also the first person of either African-American or Hispanic descent to be elected to Congress from Upstate New York. He is one 55 House Democrats targeted by Republicans. Five are of African descent.

Nevada
Steven Horsford (D) vs. Jim Marchant (R)
Rep. Horsford, who has campaigned as a family man, admits to having had an affair. Horsford is one 55 House Democrats targeted by Republicans. Five are of African descent.

North Carolina
Lieutenant Governor: Yvonne Lewis Holley vs. Mark Robinson (R)
In North Carolina, the Governor and Lieutenant Governor are elected separately. Both Holley and Robinson are of African descent.

U.S. House: Patricia Timmons-Goodson (D) vs. Richard Hudson (R)

U.S. House: Cynthia Wallace (D) vs. Dan Bishop (R)

Ohio
US House: Desiree Tims (D) vs. Michael Turner (R)

State House:  Brandon Thomas (D) vs. Mike Sparks (R)

Harris and Thomas: Tennessee Is Poised to Elect Its First Openly LGBTQ+ Law Makers (both of African descent) Tennessee is one of just four states in the country that have never elected an openly LGBTQ state legislator. The other three are Alaska, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

Texas
Candace Valenzuela (D) vs. Beth Van Duyne (R)
Valenzuela could become the first Afro-Latina in Congress.

Colin Allred (D) vs. Genevieve Collins (R)
Allred is one 55 House Democrats targeted by Republicans. Five are of African descent.

Mike Siegal vs. Michael McCaul (R)
Siegal’s wife is Dr. Hindatu Mohammed. The ads prominently include the mixed couple. On immigration, he writes, "My Protestant ancestors who escaped persecution in Britain, and my Jewish ancestors who fled pogroms in Eastern Europe, all came here for a better life. My wife was born in Nigeria, grew up in Pittsburgh, attended university and veterinary school and is a thriving businesswoman in Austin. My children are growing up in a vibrant community of rich cultures and perspectives. Rematch, Siegal lost by four percentage points in 2016."

Utah

State House: Samba Baldeh (D) vs. Samuel Anderson (R)
In this heavily Democratic district Baldeh will become the first Muslim in the Wisconsin Assembly and probably the first Gambian-American in any state legislature.
