Port of Harlem Magazine Makes its Stage Debut in "The Waiting Room"
"The Waiting Room" is a play inspired by the extraordinary real–life journey of Port of Harlem magazine contributor Tyrone Colbert and Ivy Alston. Fate intervenes when Alston discovers Colbert through the pages of Port of Harlem while he is incarcerated. This heartfelt story mirrors their story, but focuses on a woman who finds unexpected love behind bars and forges connections with three remarkable women during her visits to her future husband.
