DuSable Museum Kwanzaa Exhibit - Chicago
(November 15, 2004 - January 3, 2005)
In 1966,
Dr. Maulana Karenga created Kwanzaa, an African American holiday
celebrating family, community and culture. Today Kwanzaa is
practiced by millions of people. The DuSable Museum's annual exhibition highlights paintings, textiles, artifacts and
sculptures
representing the African Diaspora from the Museum's permanent
